PAT testing should be done annually to ensure that all portable appliances are safe and that your business is compliant. 

This includes anything from kettles and laptops to large equipment and tools; anything with a plug should be PAT tested!

We'll test each appliance, label it with the date it's tested and provide you with a report to show they've been tested. 

If you're a small business with just a few small appliances, then you're welcome to bring them into our office near the centre of York. We can test up to 10 items while you wait for £40.00 + VAT.

Alternatively, testing at your place of business starts from £75.00 + VAT for up to 25 items with each additional item charged at £2.75 + VAT.

If you have over 100 items please do give us a call and we'll provide you with a bespoke quote; we'll also discuss arrangements to ensure the testing is done in a way that causes the least disruption to your business. 

The Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a legal requirement for businesses and it should be done every five years as a minimum. 

The EICR tests your wiring, sockets, lighting, and more. It means that we can identify any faults and potential issues as well as ensuring that you are legally compliant. 

The full test takes a minimum of 3 hours and we do have to turn the power to circuits off for some of that time, but we'll always work around you and your business to ensure as little disruption as possible.

We'll then provide you with a report and if anything needs remedying we'll explain your options as clearly as possible, avoiding technical jargon! We'll also provide you with a clear quote for remedial works. 

EICR prices depend on the size of your site/property and the number of circuits and spaces, so please do give us a call to discuss.

Our standard charge is £75.00 + VAT for the first hour of work, then £45.00 + VAT for each hour thereafter. 

Urgent works, out of office hours are charged at £98.00 + VAT which includes the first hour of work and then the standard hourly rate of £45.00 + VAT thereafter.

Remember, there could be material costs on top of our labour charges and we'll always try to keep you updated regarding costs to help you manage your budget.
