A quote splits a job up into parts and gives a price for each part of the job. A quote shows the total cost for the complete job.

What To Expect And Not Expect From A Quote

Expect:

· An exact price.

· A full description of the job.

· What can be expected from the tradesman.

· What is expected from the customer.

· How long the quote is valid for, usually 30 days.

· Start and finish dates.

Do not expect:

· That the price will stay the same if something unusual or unexpected happens.

· That the start and finish dates will stay the same if something unusual or unexpected happens.

· To pay the same for an urgent job as for a normal job.

· To pay the same for a quote from a national company as for a quote for a local company.
