Places Of Work – Definition

Their is more than one definition of a ‘place of work’.

The definitions below will help define what is a place of work:

· Any part of a building that workers have access to whilst at work that is not a domestic dwelling.

· An entry and exit route to a place of work.

· A place of work can be outdoors.

· A place of work can be a movable structure or vehicle.

· Any premises, or part thereof, that are made available to someone at work that is not a domestic dwelling.

· A place where facilities are provided for people at work.

· Any place an employee is required to attend whilst at work.

· A place where people are employed.
