What Can Go Wrong With A Pilot Light

 

Pilot Light Keeps Going Out

 

· Deposit build up in the pilot light – clean the pilot light.

 

· Thermocouple unserviceable.

· The thermocouple removes the gas supply to the pilot light when the pilot light goes out.

· The thermocouple may be removing the gas supply to the pilot light when it shouldn’t remove the gas supply to the pilot light.

 

· Air seal broken – a draught is blowing the pilot light out.

 

 

Pilot Light Goes Out After A Short Time

 

· Thermocouple broken.

· Thermocouple is removing the gas supply to the pilot light.

 

 

Pilot Light Yellow And Weak

 

Pilot light should be blue.

 

· Deposit build up in the pilot light – clean the pilot light.
