What Is The MCS?

MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) is the ‘industry watchdog’ for the PV (Photo Voltaic) solar panel industry.

The Purpose Of MCS

MCS ‘certify’ (approve) solar panel products and solar panel installers.

MCS act as an independent body to oversee PV solar panel products and installers.

The UK Government set up MCS as an independent organisation; Gemserv Limited administer MCS.

Why You Should Use An MCS Approved PV Solar Panel Installer

Only MCS approved products installed by an MCS approved installer qualify for FITs (Feed In Tariffs) payments.

FITs payments are a UK incentive scheme to encourage the installation of solar panels; householders are paid a subsidy for each unit of electricity the solar panels produce.
