What Is A Bleed Screw?
A bleed screw allows the temporary opening of a system to allow a liquid or gas to escape.
The liquid or gas comes out due to the pressure inside a system being greater that the pressure outside a system.
What A Bleed Screw Does
In central heating a bleed screw allows air to escape from, for instance, a central heating pump or a radiator.
Air in central heating is not good, it prevents water flow; bleed a radiator or pump to increase efficiency.

How To Use A Bleed Screw
Turn a bleed screw half a turn at a time, listen for escaping air, as soon as you hear escaping air stop turning.
Prepare for a small water leakage.
